Multiware specializes in tools for enhancing the Peachtree Accounting applications.

Programmable applications:

The Toolkit for Peachtree and PawCom both contain programmable libraries that let popular applications such as MS Access, MS Excel, VB6 and VS.NET interact with your Peachtree data. Sample forms and reports are included. These applications are similar in many ways, but there are significant differences, described below:

Toolkit for Peachtree	PawCom
Works with Peachtree 2004 through 2008, including Quantum.	Single version works with Peachtree V7 through 2008, including Quantum.
Requires Peachtree Complete or higher.	Works with all flavors of Peachtree.
All operations go through the Peachtree application, so it must be running with your company open.	All operations are performed directly with the data, so Peachtree does not have to be running.
Peachtree validates all imported data.	Peachtree does not validate written data.
Can insert journal transactions in real time.	Journal transactions must be inserted in batch mode.
First released in 2005.	First released in 1999.
Licensed per computer.	Licensed per company.

Note: Peachtree will be switching to mySQL as their underlying database for V2009 in 2008. We do not know at this time whether we will be able to make PawCom work with Peachtree releases after this change. However, we do expect the Toolkit for Peachtree will continue to work with future releases of Peachtree.
